Fact or Friction -- Industry Collaboration Now Tackling the New #1 Problem: False Declines
At MRC Malta, Ethoca led a panel discussion on the peril of false declines, which collectively cost online retailers billions of dollars each year. As part of the discussion, a brief deck was shared which defined false declines, listed ways in which they impact the industry, and looked at precisely why cardholders are being declined. The panel also discussed repercussions false declines have for issuers and merchants, and recommended four best practices as ways to mitigate them.
