The aftermath of numerous data breaches in recent years has contributed to the proliferation of spear phishing, synthetic identities, fake accounts, account takeover, and other nefarious fraud MOs. As a result, it is becoming more and more challenging for online retailers to know whether the users transacting on their platforms are in fact legitimate and who they claim they are.
